Zen Retreat, Shizuoka, Japan.
Once or twice a year we would have a 4 day meditation retreat at the temple in Shizuoka.
In this photo, Gudo Wafu Nishijima is in front and center. I am on the front left (Batsu Zan Odo). Taijin, a nun whom was very quiet, kind and helpful and whom also lived at the Dojo is seen behind Nishijima Roshi. Taijin shaved my head when I became a monk and took most of the photographs on this blog.
