The “Great Buddha” or Daibutsu is a famous giant statue in Kamakura, Japan at the located at the Kotoku-in Temple. I spent many hours sitting Zazen near by, collecting donations for our Dojo. I was usually accompanied by Nissim or Krzysztof who where two other monks whom I meditated frequently with while living at the Dojo. We would sit for up to six hours and return with quiet minds and donations enough to fill the food pantry.
